INTRODUCTION
Almost all great men have been made great by one or two loving women. A godly mother or a devoted wife are tremendous assets. In this study, we shall be looking at the mind of God for a godly mothers, His expectations and specific duty assigned to them. May the Lord bless our souls as we study in Jesus' name.
1.THE FIRST DUTY OF A GODLY MOTHER
*The wife’s first duty is to love and serve Jesus Christ - Luke 14:26
*The wife’s second duty is to obey her husband - Eph. 5:22-24, 1 Peter 3:1-2
This is a hard lesson for the modern wife, but she can never be a happy or a God-pleasing woman, until she submits to the plan of God. 1 Tim. 2:11-15, Gen. 3:6
2. A GODLY MOTHER MUST LOVE HER HUSBAND
*Wives are not only to respect and obey their husbands, but they are to love them too. Husbands need a great deal of affection, too. - Titus 2:4
*Godly wives are not to adorn themselves with ornaments, they are to adorn themselves with good works that bring glory to God, their families, and the body of Christ. 1 Tim. 2:9-10
Godly wives are to be modest and embrace sobriety, with a meek and quiet disposition.
Titus 2:5, 1 Pet. 3:2-6
CONCLUSION
Godly wives and good mothers are wonderful gifts from the Lord.
They become a tremendous blessing to their husbands and families and the Church of God. Prov. 31:10,12,28. May God help us to be the Godly mothers and wives indeed unto His glory in Jesus name.
